Apple Inc. is approaching major music companies to offer their customers access to the whole iTunes music library absolutely free when the customers pay a premium for its iPods and iPhones.
A recent research showed that consumers would pay a premium of up to $100 for a lifetime of unlimited access to music of an iPods or iPhones, or a monthly fee of not more than $8 for a subscription model.
The plan is still in negotiation; slowed down with dispute over the price that Apple Inc. is willing to pay to access the labels’ libraries.
