
With the rising oil prices some people will do almost anything to get free gas. What would you do and to what extent will you do it for free gas?
To David Partin in Orlanda, Florida, it means giving up naming his son. Partin in a contest has pledged to name his son after local radio hosts – as Dixon Willoughby Partin - in order to win a $100 gas card.
The American Red Cross also run a summer contest where blood donors are eligible to win a year’s supply of fuel.
At St. Ann’s Parish in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, $50 gas cards are given out in drawing manner at Sunday masses. Going to the church will never be the same. That for sure gives you a good reason to wake up every Sunday for mass and not falling asleep, at least during the lucky draw.
Meanwhile in Beatty, Nevada, Shady Lady Ranch brothel runs a campaign to boost summer sales; giving out $50 gas vouchers to customers who spend $300 or more in a month. Within a week, the first $1,000 gas coupons were given out.
In Mesquite, Texas, thieves drained $100 worth of gasoline from buses used by the Higher Ground Church day-care center and attacked other churches in the area.
