“The Sims” is the world’s best-selling computer game; having sold 100 million copies since its launch in 2000. Including all platform game, it comes second to all-time favorite Nintendo’s Mario franchise which was sold 201 million copies.

In “The Sims”, players create virtual homes and businesses for and design the day-to-day lives of their “Sims” characters.

Since eight years of launching the game, the popular game has spread over 60 countries in at least 22 languages. Majority of the players today are women; 60% and this is surprisingly a large market that game investors has ignored in the past.

“The Sims” proved to take the world by storm as fans and game enthusiasts uploaded hundreds of thousands of “Sims” videos on YouTube. And all videos are being commented, favorite-d and viewed by thousands of viewers.

Videos include a “Sims” version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, the Broadway musical “Rent” and “Sims” Next Top Model, a virtual rendition of the popular reality show, ‘America Next Top Model’.
