New Stuff On Facebook

470_zuckerberg-470x0.jpgFacebook users can now use movie clips from Paramount Pictures as Facebook Messages.

Paramount Pictures is teaming up with FanRocket to launch an application, “VooZoo” on Facebook that gives Facebook users access to view footages of thousands of movies; old and new to send to other users on the arguably No.1 social networking site.

The effort of the application is to virally market the upcoming movie releases through a button that appears after each clip is played. There was no revenue goal being set by Paramount for the new venture somehow.

Danny Kastner, founder of FanRocket aimed to get a few hundred thousand users within two months and at the same time, mentioned about possible collaboration other Hollywood studios to package their titles on VooZoo. But that would not be anytime soon though as Paramount took more than a year to make selection of clips from their archives and tag them with search terms alone.
