Skype Goes Mobile

After the owner of eBay bought Skype for over a billion dollars he realized he paid a but too much the VOIP software company. However the strategic partnerships with 3 Hutchinson mobile Skype now looks forward to going 100% mobile.
The release of the X-Series service allowed Skype user to make international calls from the mobile handset. And because of their partnership with 3, Skype will share some of its profits with them. There’s not much being said about their new developments however we do know that Skype and 3 is planing to take cheap internet calls a step further than just the internet. A spokes person from 3 Australia has confirmed that there is something in the pipeline “to produce an exciting new product to make free internet calls completely mobile.”
A report from BusinessWeek states that there will be a feature to activate Skype for long-distance and international calls right on your mobile handset at the standard Skype rates however you will be required to make a minimum monthly spend.
“The move marks a radical step forward in operator thinking and will mobilize internet calls for a mass market,” says a 3 representative.
