The moon is a special place. We all know. But making the moon as a final resting place?
Celestis Inc. is all set to send human ashes to the lunar surface using robotic landers and this service could begin as early as next year.
Celestis Inc., president Charles Chafer said his company in collaboration with Odyssey Moon Ltd. and Astrobotic Technology Inc., will attach capsules containing cremated remains onto robotic landers and cremation capsules will remain on the moon with the lunar landers when the missions were complete.

Apple Inc. is approaching major music companies to offer their customers access to the whole iTunes music library absolutely free when the customers pay a premium for its iPods and iPhones.
A recent research showed that consumers would pay a premium of up to $100 for a lifetime of unlimited access to music of an iPods or iPhones, or a monthly fee of not more than $8 for a subscription model.

If you think moving from Yahoo and Microsoft’s mail to Gmail could save you from getting spammed, think again.
Report by email security vendor, MessageLab indicated that Gmail spam doubled last month; from 1.3 percent to 2.6.
Security vendors believe that the same group of spammers who cracked Microsoft’s Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart or CAPTCHA is responsible for cracking the Gmail’s filter system.
The spammers are believed to go to the extent of not only creating software to crack the security codes but also hiring employee to solve the codes all together.

Facebook users can now use movie clips from Paramount Pictures as Facebook Messages.
Paramount Pictures is teaming up with FanRocket to launch an application, “VooZoo” on Facebook that gives Facebook users access to view footages of thousands of movies; old and new to send to other users on the arguably No.1 social networking site.
The effort of the application is to virally market the upcoming movie releases through a button that appears after each clip is played. There was no revenue goal being set by Paramount for the new venture somehow.

The Pentagon instructed all Defence Department bases and installation all over the country to stop Google Earth teams from taking panoramic views of the Pentagon and making detailed street-level video maps of U.S. military bases.
Michael Kucharek, spokesman for U.S. Northern Command, said that military officials raised reasonable concerns over security and safety of the base if the 360-degree, street-level video of the facilities is being viewed openly by almost anybody especially potential adversaries and endanger base personnel.

Nike Inc. and Apple Inc. is up for another hit after previous successful collaboration. Remember the wireless system embedded in selected Nike running shoes with a sensor that communicates with Apple’s iPod Nano?
This time, the companies want to send iPod right to the gym; approaching several gym equipment makers and fitness clubs, 24-Hour Fitness and Virgin Athletic Health Clubs to allow their members to plug their iPod Nano into cardio equipment.
