While Google and Microsoft battle off to win the online war with Yahoo as their winning chip, Yahoo is no less fighting its own internal war too. Whether Microsoft’s bid is a deal or not, Yahoo as announced last month began to cut jobs; up to 1,000 employees. Chief Executive of Yahoo Inc, Jerry Yang is expected to cut the work force by around 7 percent of 14,300 employees as reported end of 2007.

Only last December alone, Nintendo Wii’s sales hit one million units. But following the success of this popular motion-controlled remote, Motus Corporation borrows the fetching formula to launch its latest product; the Motus Darwin controller, which claim to be better than Wii. What’s newsworthy about this product is; it allows motion-based control on non-Nintendo game system, which also include the PC. Something that Wii can’t do.

In an effort to topple Google’s search engine market share, Microsoft approached Yahoo for a takeover at the latest reported figure of $44.6 billion.
As estimation made for the next three years ahead indicated a healthy growth of online ads investment, it is a ‘must’ move for Microsoft to win this battle against Google. And this only shows how much pressure Google has put on and threats it imposed on its online competitors.

So, Steve Jobs did a fantastic job presenting the MacBook Air in a manila envelope. And MacBook Air stole the entire show at the MacWorld Conference last week. Thin is in. Of course. In case you are of those people who came across situation; rushing off to an important meeting, time is running out, you cant remember the address and then you realize that you left your client’s name card at the office. You pick up your mobile phone and try dialing your office number, half way listening to the dialing tone, the battery dies off. You pull the battery out and put that in again hoping for a miracle. Well, at that moment you wish that you have a new battery in hand or even charge the battery with your bare hand!

It’s a bug attack!
Skype was forced to switch off its popular video-sharing feature in its software as a security effort to protect Skype users from a self-launch worm attack.
The bug in the software was first reported last Thursday by security researcher ,Aviv Raff and believed to be originated from Skype’s way of using Internet Explorer component to render HTML.
Last week, the security researcher proved the potential bug by showing how attackers could exercise the bug to run unauthorized software on a Skype user’s PC. Again on Tuesday, Raff said the flaw was more serious than he’d first thought.

Polymer Vision has squeezed a display the size of two business cards and turned it into the world’s first phone that has a fold-away screen that fold ups like paper when not in use. The Dutch company introduced the 5-inch “Readius” as an e-phone that can fit perfectly in a pocket when folded and when folded out, users can use it to read e-news, blogs and email.

Apple might have left iPhone out in Steve Jobs’ keynote recently at its annual MacWorld convention but iPhone is still a big hits. Since its launch in July 2007, Apple has sold more than 4 million iPhones worldwide.
According to New York Times’ data, Although iPhones dominate less than 1 percent of the overll mobile-phone market, the iconic device is generating far more traffic to Google than any other mobile device that are also accessible to the Internet with competing headsets.
