The Pentagon instructed all Defence Department bases and installation all over the country to stop Google Earth teams from taking panoramic views of the Pentagon and making detailed street-level video maps of U.S. military bases.
Michael Kucharek, spokesman for U.S. Northern Command, said that military officials raised reasonable concerns over security and safety of the base if the 360-degree, street-level video of the facilities is being viewed openly by almost anybody especially potential adversaries and endanger base personnel.
The Pentagon decided to put a stop to Google Earth from featuring the building followed after reports suggested that Google Earth were used by the protesters while plotting their access to the roof of the Parliament building in London.

This has to do with the Street View in Google Maps. Not Google Earth. Get your story straight.
